Have you ever noticed over the years that it becomes harder and harder to find products made in America? If politicians cared about "the little people" wouldn't it make sense for them to do everything they could to bring jobs back to America? Sadly, too many of them accept campaign contributions from corporations that export American jobs to sweatshops in foreign countries, and they don't want change. They're happy with the status quo.
As always, real change begins with the people. Think about the American colonists in the late 1700's or the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960's. This country would not have been born had the colonists merely pleaded with King George to have mercy. African Americans would not have won their hard-fought rights if they had simply asked nicely for better treatment. Today American workers must act in order to win back what has been lost. A good first step would be for every American that has lost their job or is in danger of losing their job to make a covenant to buy American or make do without. Citizens concerned about the enormous transfer of money and power from the United States to the Orient and the Middle East are also encouraged to participate. The following link will take you to the covenant form:
If enough people take this covenant to heart by buying only American products the free market should respond by producing American goods and services. Together we have the power to effect change. It is up to us to use it. We have no one but ourselves to blame if we fail to secure our future.
